Crataegus Paul’s Scarlet

Dense, round-headed tree with thorny branches.  Its leaves are shiny and deeply lobed.  The branches become smothered with clusters of clear, bright-red double flowers in early November, followed by bright-red fruit.  Great as a specimen tree or hedge.  Tough as old boots.
