Calamagrostis x 'Karl Foerster'
This striking plant creates a cloud of hazy mauve plumes on flower stems, standing proud of the clump at around 1.5m tall stems in early summer. These slowly age to a biscuity beige and then to a golden tan colour as it moves into autumn then winter. The foliage is semi- evergreen, and reaches approximately 90cm x 90cm.
Looks great in a summer dry garden or gravel garden.
